A dream.
A state of mind in which a person does not believe in any limitations, be they physical, social, financial or circumstantial. A person may imagine themself as the president of their country, a Nobel prize winning scientist or economist, a great poet, artist, or social worker, a gold medal-winning Olympian, or the commander of a great army. The sky is the only limit. Dreams are what lead great leaders to rise above themselves, create new inventions, and bring about dramatic changes to everyday life. A simple dream can change the world.
However, when a child is growing up in a village, far from the modern world and with limited resources, struggling with their family in the fields to make sure they have a good harvest and their parents are able to take care of their family, dreams begin to fade. Someone who could have become great gets confined to something much smaller than their potential. Of course, there are always a few outliers, kids struggling to rise from such backgrounds and ultimately succeeding. However, the probability of these children making it big is disproportionately low. The Village of Dreams aims to not only keep dreams alive in these kids, but help them achieve them.
