Who We Are
We Dare to Dream
The Village of Dreams is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charity organization that aims to remove barriers to student success. We help students reach their full potential by providing financial assistance, rewards for their hard work, and role models that they can look up to, with the goal of inspiring, encouraging, and nurturing them so that they can reach their ambitions.
Although our projects began in rural Himalayan communities, we are working to share The Village of Dreams mission across the globe through our chapters, fundraisers, and outreach projects. Kids helping other kids fosters a sense of community and provides valuable shared experiences for everyone involved. Together, we can make a change in our world that will carry through to the next generation, and build a world in which every child, regardless of social, financial, or circumstantial conditions, can dare to dream.

Making a Difference
Top 10 State Exam Reward
We provide financial rewards for students and their teachers from underprivileged schools in Himalayan villages who place highly in the state exams. After 20 years having passed without a single student from the village placing in the top 10, at least one student from a government school of the area has placed highly every applicable year since 2017, when the project was first started.
Project STEAMbot
Project STEAMbot is a free online Udemy course we have developed that takes students through the basics of robotics and programming using the first robot in the LEGO® BOOST kit along with videos, quizzes, and articles. Over 1000 students across 100 countries are enrolled in the course. The course has also been taught in India and underserved areas in the SF Bay Area by Village of Dreams members.
Annual English Language Competition
A solid understanding of communication in the English language is essential to achieving most high-paying jobs, particularly in Indian society. We host our Annual English Language Competition for students in rural Himalayan communities to encourage them to improve their English skills so that they can take advantage of the many opportunities these skills will provide them.
